Un chip Hall detecta el cambio de polo magn\u00e9tico para generar una se\u00f1al de frecuencia determinada. El caudal de agua es linealmente proporcional a la frecuencia de salida. Ofrece un amplio rango de caudales (de 2 a 30 litros\/minuto), un rendimiento estable, resistencia a altas temperaturas de hasta 85 \u00b0C y a presiones de agua de hasta 18 kg, adem\u00e1s de un bajo costo. Entre sus aplicaciones t\u00edpicas se incluyen la detecci\u00f3n del flujo en calentadores de agua de aire forzado y calderas murales de gas, lo que permite controlar el caudal y, por consiguiente, la regulaci\u00f3n del termostato.
